Region North Dalmatia

Dalmatia is one of the most beautiful holiday regions in Croatia. North Dalmatia stretches from the island of Pag, and the city of Primosten. The most important city in the region is the historic city of Zadar, known as the "Croatian Rome." 
This part of Dalmatia offers a stunning coastline with beautiful beaches, but also the places for those who do not just like relaxing on the beach, but the cultural events, activities and sports. 
The capital of Dalmatia is Split, the second largest city in Croatia, known for the ancient ruins of the Diocletian - palaces. If you are in Split, be sure to also visit the medieval fortress Klis, which is a few kilometers away from Split and is one of the main attractions of Croatia.

• Kornati National Park in the southern North Dalmatia 
• Velebit Nature Park (located mostly in the region of Kvarner Bay)

• Cetina Perucko Jezero
• Zrmanja Gorge (known from Karl May films) 
• Plitvice Lakes National Park (UNESCO World Heritage)
