The Croatian Islands are located off the coast of Croatia in the Adriatic Sea, a side sea of the Mediterranean.
The Croatian coast is one of the most rugged coasts in the world. You could therefore also call it the "archipelagic coast".

There are a total of 1244 islands, islands and rocks off the Croatian coast. Only 47 islands are inhabited.
The coastline of all Croatian islands is 4,398 kilometers. The coastline of the Croatian mainland is 1778 kilometers. The total Croatian coastline is 6176 kilometers.
Spain has a total coastline length of 4964 kilometers.

There are a total of 553 islands and 644 rocks in the Croatian Adriatic. The total area of all Croatian islands, islets, reefs and rocks is 3,259.57 square kilometers. Most Croatian islands are located in the central part of the Croatian coast.
