Opposite the Pješčana Uvala lies the small island of Veruda (Fratarski otok), which is ideal for swimming, diving and recreation in a pine forest. The islet can be reached from the port of Bunarina with a regular boat line in 10 minutes.

If you come from the highway, you have to drive out after the toll booths (Pula) and then follow the signs Premantura / Verudela. On the main road there are signs to Pješčana Uvala. When you reach Pješčana Uvala, go straight ahead on the road to the larger intersection (there is a restaurant "Lanterna") and at this intersection turn left and after 20 m turn right and straight to the yard of the house.
