Town Crikvenica
Crikvenica is situated in the Kvarner bay of the Adriatic Sea, 33 km from Rijeka, a major traffic junction and the center of Primorje-Gorski Kotar, part of which is the town of Crikvenica. The whole town of Crikvenica is in fact a Riviera with a row of almost connected small tourist resorts: Selce, Dramalj and Jadranovo. The city covers about 28 square kilometers in the coastal zone, about 15 km long and about 2 km wide, between the sea and the elongated littoral, with an average altitude of 300 m. The nearby airport on the island Krk, the passenger and cargo port of Rijeka, and good road and railway connection with Central Europe have contributed to the early development of tourism, which in the present Riviera of Crikvenica a tradition of more than one hundred and twenty have years.
