Ugljan is connected to Zadar by ferry, which departs every half hour, and with the island of Pasman, to the bridge, which can be reached in 15 minutes by car.

Lukoran is a village in the middle of the island Ugljan. It lies on the part of the coast which is based on agriculture, so that the economic base of wine, olives and tourism there. Lukoran has two very old churches, the Church of St. Lovre with Romanesque elements was built in 1877, and the church in the cemetery, which stem from the more ancient times. The Church of St. Lovre was built from scratch, and there are no traces of earlier periods, only the altars were transferred from the old church.
Below Zmorašnjeg Lukoran are the remains of a Gothic church and the building, which was built by the story of the Egyptian monks in the 14th century.
